How to Export a Project in Sunhat

Learn how to export your project as a PDF or Word document, now with a Table of Contents, improved formatting, and language options.

Introduction

Sunhat lets you export your project β€” including all questions, answers, and attached proof β€” as a professionally formatted PDF or Word document. Exports now include a Table of Contents for easy navigation, clear page breaks between sections, and support for English and German. This is especially useful when you need to share your compliance responses with auditors, clients, or internal teams.

Prerequisites

  • You need access to the project you want to export.

  • For best results, make sure all questions have been answered and reviewed before exporting.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the project you want to export.

  2. Click the Export button in the project toolbar.

  3. Choose your preferred file format: PDF or Word.

  4. Select the export language β€” English (default) or German. If your project language is already set, Sunhat uses that language by default.

  5. Choose your preferred attachment mode. The PDF preview updates automatically when you change the language or attachment setting, so you can verify the output before downloading.

  6. Click Download to save the exported file to your computer.

What's included in the export

  • Table of Contents: Click on any section in the Table of Contents to jump directly to that page (PDF and Word).

  • Page breaks: Each section starts on a new page for a clean, professional layout.

  • Proof references: Where proof is attached, the export includes a reference marked "See attached proof." These references are styled to be less prominent than the questions and answers themselves.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip

If your organization works in both English and German, you can quickly switch the export language and preview the result before downloading β€” no need to export twice to compare.

Troubleshooting

The Table of Contents page numbers seem slightly off β€” is that normal?

In some cases, page numbers in the Table of Contents may be slightly misaligned due to how content is rendered in the export. This does not affect the clickable links β€” clicking a section in the Table of Contents will still take you to the correct page.
