Track and Review Activity Across Campaigns, Projects, and Indicators

How to use Sunhat's Activity log to monitor changes, assignments, and updates made by your team across Campaigns, Projects, and Indicators.

Introduction

The Activity log gives you a complete, time-stamped record of every action taken in your Sunhat workspace, from answer changes and status updates to assignment modifications and value edits. This audit trail is essential for staying on top of who changed what and when, keeping your proof verifiable and traceable at all times. Whether you're preparing for an EcoVadis assessment, a CSRD report, or an internal audit, the Activity log ensures full accountability across your team.

Prerequisites

  • You must have access to at least one Campaign, Project, or Indicator in your Sunhat workspace.

  • No special admin permissions are required to view activity logs — any workspace member can access them for areas they have access to.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Viewing Activity in a Campaign

  1. Navigate to Campaigns in the left navigation bar and open the campaign you want to review (e.g., CSRD reporting: Climate change data collection).

  2. Click the Activities tab at the top of the campaign page.

  3. Browse the log to see all recorded actions — including assignments, status changes (e.g., "Approved"), and data updates — listed with the responsible team member and a timestamp.

  4. Use the Filter icon (top left) to narrow results by action type, or the Search icon (top right) to find activity related to a specific question or indicator.

  5. Click the Date column header to sort entries chronologically or reverse-chronologically.

Example: You can see that Julia changed the status of "Gross market-based Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions" to Approved on Dec 11, 2025.

Viewing Activity on an Indicator

  1. Navigate to Shared → Indicators and open the indicator you want to audit (e.g., Board's gender diversity ratio).

  2. Click the Activities tab.

  3. Review the full history of value changes per entity and reporting year (e.g., "Sonja changed the value to 30% on Sunny UK Ltd – 2023").

  4. Use Search or Creation date sorting to locate specific changes quickly.

Example: You can trace exactly when and by whom each data point was updated across multiple subsidiaries and years.

Viewing Activity in a Project

  1. Go to Projects in the navigation bar and open the relevant project.

  2. Select the Review and Inspect Activities tab or open the activities of a question via the More button

  3. Review the log for actions such as assignments added or removed, text edits, and ownership changes — all displayed with the acting user and timestamp.

  4. Use the Filter icon to segment by action type, or sort by Date using the controls in the top-right corner.

Example: You can quickly identify that Tim reassigned questions or that Liisa updated an answer text two days ago.

💡 Pro Tip

Use the Search function within the Activity log to look up a specific question, indicator name, or team member.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

Q: I can see an activity entry but I don't know which question or indicator it refers to — the name is cut off.

A: Activity entries often truncate long question titles with "...", especially if you view them in the side panel. Use the drag function to make the side panel bigger to see the full text.
